Yo I actually have crippling anxiety like it fucks with my sleep. Anyone else had this? What worked for you? Meds? Therapy?

What meds? I tried Lexapro and that helped my sleep a little but it made me severely unmotivated

im on effexor and provopranolol(probably spelling it wrong)! the effexor is anti anxiety anti depressant and theprovopranolol is if a very stressful thing is coming up, it’s like a short term fix.

meds are great but any life changes you can make will help a lot too

I have that prescribed too! Mainly for sleep. It works pretty well and notice I’m a little less anxious during the day. But I just need something to dissolve the anxiety completely like I feel like I’m just wired to worry as a default

meds kinda take the edge off. my philosophy is that they make it manageable so I can do the mental work to deal with my anxiety. my sleep ritual is oddly specific but it makes it so I don’t have to go on a high dosage or do anything crazy just to get some rest

Exactly, it’s nice to take so I can get a full nights rest. Anxiety -> insomnia -> sleep deprivation -> anxiety pipeline was damn near killing me

asmr or ocean sounds, have a clean and good smelling room (I love my diffuser), take melatonin if I really need it, make sure I ate healthy and moved during the day so im not worked up before bed etc
