
it’s your journal. no one else’s eyes will be reading the words on those pages except for yourself. there’s no right or wrong way to do it, nor do you need more than one until the other one is full. use different titles, emotions one day, recap the next if that’s the case. hopefully with that, you’ll look back on it one day and be grateful for the great moments and the struggles, realizing how much you’ve grown.
i do both scrapbook journaling & regular writing in mine. i write about my day, the things that piss me off, what i want to do tomorrow, anything that comes to mind. i have whole entries about tv show plots and what i like on my cheeseburger. if you want to talk about the deep stuff, go for it. have a conversation with yourself. but don’t feel pressured to make that private space into something other than your own!
