I managed to get a career unrelated to my degree/experience in 2023. It pays the bills, I’m good at it, it’s all over the country, in desperate need, and I have room to grow in it. I just don’t love it and I could be paid more. After watching my fiancé apply to aviation jobs as a pilot for 6 months, only to bounce between UPS, uber eats, and now a factory job for the last 2 years, I’m just gonna stick to what I know :/ it’s horrendous out there
I’m sadly amazed they even send you a rejection. Most employers between us two didn’t even have the decency to tell us to stop holding our breath like why do we have to go through all this shit between personalized emails, resumes and cover letters, and they can’t even email back for 2 seconds to say “sorry but no”???
