As a teenager my uncle stole & pawned my grandma’s wedding ring and got himself kicked out of high school. My mom just dated a guy.

i think i’m ageist because the idea of having a little boy is fine w/ me but i honestly do not think i could handle having a teenage boy & that’s why i’m not having kids 😭 like i like the boys BEFORE their peers & these awful male influences rub off on them & if i couldn’t protect my son from that i’d never forgive myself

The only part I understand is that you will KNOW if your daughter gets pregnant, whereas you may not know if ur son gets someone pregnant. Responsibility usually falls on the girl’s family too. I absolutely hate the idea that “teen girls are bitches” tho lmfao bcos that’s just sexist bs

People will hammer it into their daughters’ heads that they’re going to be awful people in their teens, then start forcing that bias and expectations on them before they even become teenagers, then wonder why the girls are bad teenagers. My brother. It’s because you conditioned them to be miserable and have a “it’s me vs. my parents” mentality during a crucial and sensitive stage in their development. Like be so for real 😮

Its “so much harder” to raise girls because society values men’s comfort and enjoyment over women’s autonomy and safety. Daughters have to stay inside and not go out because we cant restrict sons. And then because everyone lets their sons run wild, it’s not safe for the daughters. And thus the cycle continues.

Because you don’t have to stress about safeguarding a guy’s virginity. (I’m not saying I agree with this. But that’s their mindset).

i think its mainly the dumbass idea that teen girls are "annoying" or "bitches" or "moody" whereas teen boys are "normal"
