Ok fun! I’ll give you some of my favs by genre. Thriller: the secret history, sharp objects; historical fiction: girl with a pearl earring, the rebel nun, hello beautiful; dystopian: silo trilogy, hunger games (duh), handmaids tale, the giver; memoir: call me American, girl interrupted, Persepolis (this one is a graphic novel). Nonfic: the serviceberry, the white album, what we remember will be saved. Honorable mentions: little women, Percy Jackson, the bell jar

Such a great book! It’s so little but so powerful it rlly transformed the way I see and move through the world! Also side note I need to read babel sooo bad it’s been on my TBR for way too long

ofc! i just thought of another really good rec i got from a librarian. it’s weird - pov is a talking crow during the zombie apocalypse but it’s so so so fun. book is called the hollow kingdom
