it’s generally very hard to react well to getting harassed which is what these men count on. they find people and make sure to catch them off guard so they’re not prepared and most people’s (very reasonable) reaction is to be mad or offended or say something kind of awkward

right but i’m talking about the women staying put and engaging with those men after getting catcalled and trying to defend themselves. they don’t respect women at all so we shouldn’t even try to prove anything to them. we need to all collectively learn the art of laughing at them and walking away to instead humble them

i don’t disagree with that. but that is a very difficult thing to do that requires a lot of practice. it’s why civil rights organizers practiced being harassed by patrons or staff before sit ins so they know how to respond

true but i think it would be much easier if we teach all women to have a mindset shift and not give a fuck what men think. then humbling their asses would be second nature bc we know were higher up than them😭
