I took the combo pill for several years to skip my period (which was extremely heavy before) and didn’t have any side effects but I think that’s uncommon. I’m on the mini pill now bc I can’t take estrogen and my first period on it had cramps which I usually don’t get but after that it was smooth sailing. Just make sure whatever doctor ur working with is willing to listen to you and try multiple options if the first doesn’t work out!

i’m on combo pill junel fe 1.5/30 and i love it. i can skip my periods and i have no side effects. i tried sprintec before that and it was terrible and gave me depression. the general consensus seems to be that birth control is great if you can find one that works for you so don’t be afraid to tell your doctor you wanna try a new one if the brand you’re on is giving you side effects. mine also cleared my acne.

I was on the combo pill for years bc of my periods and I was extremely depressed. I stopped taking it and my mental state changed DRAMATICALLY. I could’ve tried a diff pill/method but personally I’d rather just deal with a few days of bad periods than mess with my hormones again after that, but I will say the pill reduced my periods to basically nothing while I was taking it
