i didnt say anything about sex, i said it isnt gonna become a critically acclaimed classic story, its sappy and fun and cute and romantic. the dialogue is at times a little based in fantasy, but what makes it a great story is the representation of queer voices in difficult spaces (like sports), and what makes it fun is the raw expression of love, as well as the fun enemies to lovers trope
i see where you’re coming from but i NEED you to understand that most people see you calling it visual wattpad and immediately take that as an insult because you and i both know that wattpad is famous for its poorly written fanfics. i don’t know why you’re like digging your heels in refusing to see my perspective
since when is wattpad known for poorly written fanfics? I’ll admit im not on the app much but ive always known it to be a place where you can find almost anything. to me wattpad represents just fanfictions in that people write what we want to see. ie. it doesnt matter if the scenes specific dialogue is 100% realistic, its supposed to make you feel smth
all those connotations are because its implying the story is unrealistic, which is close to how im using it (except i dont mean it negatively) but im saying the dialogue at times is a little wattpady but thats why we like it. its a bunch of perfectly aligned moments for the characters for the audience’s satisfaction. like how they were the first a second draft pick, on rival teams then the same team, they could flirt with eachother in public just subtly enough noone notices. that kinda thing
