i think him understanding your why is so important, but also it’s your life and if you want to rush, rush! i rushed last fall and my bf wasn’t a fan at the time and im sure he’s not exactly pleased with how much time i spend involved today, but i love my community and he knows that and is happy to see me flourish

Well I think there are plenty of ways to make friends, but if you want to rush you should. It sounds like he’s just worried for your safety which is sweet! So maybe you can make him feel a bit better by being on your A game communication wise, ex. text updates when you are at events and tell him everything they are having you do to rush
