My job updated their dress code and picking something to wear every day has become exhausting :,) its retail.. why are they so strict

I had to start picking out my work clothes for the week every Sunday I do laundry anyways so once it’s all out of the way dryer I go through my baskets and set out an outfit for each day and then ignore the rest of the basket because I will never put my clothes away fresh out the dryer

i bought plain shirts specifically for work but now that its winter idk what to wear because we cant wear “loungewear” like sweatshirts or anything with a hood. The mall already doesn’t have heat 😭😭
