the most misogynist thing i've ever done is turn off women drivers after 2 women have almost killed me on my city's highways😭

I fear this feature could be used by some weirdos who want to easily target women. We just can’t win 💔🫩

Thank you uber, that way every time I don’t have to worry or get uncomfortable around some drives because mostly some of them made me felt scared, but I am thankful now

this reminds me of a post i saw where a girl said they were happy they added this option for people who were su!c!dal since women can’t drive 😭

damn i’m sorry that’s been your experience fr. i’ve had mostly male drivers and some of them can be weird asf. i just like the comfortable environment a woman can provide for me. that’s something i prioritize as someone who uses uber pretty often, which i know is different for everyone

The analysis behind this is women are often not taught to drive as in depth or given the same instructional level as men

people can lie and say the identify as women tho 💔

that’s true unfortunately. however, the driver can cancel the ride and report the rider, which could lead to a banned or deactivated account for the rider. i think they’d get banned if they were reported a number of times tho

Lowkey a case by case type of thing. In my experience women drivers have been far better than male drivers I’ve had because the men always drive recklessly 🤷‍♀️ But yea sorry you had that experience, scary world out here 😭

it just pops up as an option when you go to book a ride. like how you have a choice between uber xl and uber black and so on
