Honestly I’d totally recommend finding a maker space near you! Some of them are paid but depending on where you are there might be a free one!! They typically have a variety of machines and do classes to teach the basics, so it’s a good starting place to not purchase a machine and learn if it is something you enjoy/holds your attention!

Just get a needle and thread and some old bedsheets, some libraries and communal spaces have sewing machines u can use

You can take sewing classes at Joann’s, my sister used to do them with her friends when she was younger and made pillow cases, bags and pjs! I’m not sure the cost but you won’t have to buy all the supplies if you end up hating it lol
