Hey girlies! Has anybody made a gofundme to fund their education? My brother and mom recommend me starting a gofundme but I feel weird creating one and asking people to pay for my education😢

My friend made one for a educational gap year program, she made a detailed letter on what she'd be doing with the money (what it would go towards, how helping her financially would better her experience during the program, etc) along with reaching out personally to everyone she asked. She got around $6000 but it was mostly from family. I haven't seen anyone else do it and it probably won't work on random strangers.

Right?! That’s how I kind of feel. I feel selfish asking friends and family to chip in $5 but more people have told me to make a gofundme
