there is nothing NOTHING more frustrating than trying to call somewhere and having to scream ‘representative’ at an AI agent to speak to a real person. like it genuinely makes me want to rip my hair out

I work as an interpreter on the phones. I deal with this dozens, sometimes hundreds of times a week. It’s always a fucking hassle…

I just constantly say “speak to a human” because I swear a lot of the time the ai is coded to where it thinks it’s also a rep

omg yes. i get calls all the time “i was trying to talk to yall but i kept getting sent to the ai thing” and they take that frustration out on us. like bro if i could shut it off i would but i cant do anything about it😵‍💫

i do that too and always get hit with “i understand you want to talk to a staff member, can i ask what this is regarding so i can see if i can help you?” HELP ME BY CONNECTING ME TO A REAL PERSON ONFG

I usually just repeat it constantly and it gets confused or sum, my biggest pain is trying to get in contact with cvs pharmacy

Seriously!! A lot of my callers have suffered from language deprivation, too, and the AI bullshit just causes them more frustration and confusion and it pisses me off to no end!! 😭
