“you know what you’re doing” and “idc if you got an ed or issues” is such a crazy combo… like okay then you just want to body shame people who body shame themselves… congratulations you’re a piece of shit!! like genuinely, get a fucking grip girl. how someone feels about themselves shouldn’t affect you at all.
i will NEVER hit them with the “omg nooo ur so skinny” like that’s giving them exactly what they want. i don’t care. calling yourself fat around someone obviously bigger than you is fucked up. ed issues whatever you know exactly what you are doing and what they will probably say. you want them to deny it. and i just refuse to play into that! hope this helps!
… you really need to have some kind of basis for the psychology of eating disorders and body dysmorphia because “you know what you’re doing” is the opposite of what’s going on lol. they, in their head, KNOW they are gross and ugly and disgusting and need to have unhealthy eating habits to reach their goal weight. it’s disordered thinking, that’s why it’s a psychological disorder. you don’t have to say that but you can ask “why do you think that?” “where do you see it?” “who told you that?” etc.
i can’t see it as anything other than fishing for compliments i’m sorry. asking where they see it or something is just gonna lead to them talking about how fat they are and still expect denial. like ive tried being nice i had a friend who would do this for years but after a while it just gets fucking annoying. i dropped her so i wouldn’t start agreeing with her cuz i was at the point where id just be like damn bro that sucks and change the subject
tbh if you were sorry, you’d do more research on the psychology of eating disorders and body dysmorphia so you could broaden your horizons and stop having such a strong opinion on something you don’t know much about besides anecdotal evidence and personal feelings… but you probably won’t do that. ask everyone you’re ever friends with if they have or have had an ED so you can drop them too and save them the trouble ffs. or, even better, talk to them about how you feel and maybe they’ll drop you..
i’ve dealt with ed’s in my life babe and i’m not falling for it. i did the exact same shit and i did it cuz i wanted to hear that im skinny. now that im better i dont fucking fall for that bullshit. i’m not going to play into it. i’m not going to make them worse. also what about those who are recovered hearing it? do you have any idea how triggering that can be seeing someone skinnier than you say they’re fat when you’ve worked so hard to stop thinking like that? it’s not all about them.
… your experience is not a universal one. just because you did it for attention and validation doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone. like damn holy solipsistic, batman. and yes, you WILL make it worse if you validate their body dysmorphia as you suggested… 😐 you’re allowed to be triggered by it. you’re not allowed to scold someone and make it worse just bc you’re triggered… be an adult about it ffs. 🤦🏼♀️
okay and be an adult and don’t call yourself fat around anyone no matter what’s going on like use ur fucking brain it’s not all about them and i’m not going to coddle them. there is nothing beneficial for anyone about complaining about being fat when ur not. u look like a bitch even if u have an ed. i’m not gonna go around assuming everyone just has an ed too some people are naturally skinny and do that shit. most you’ll get from me is an “okay buddy” if it’s a first offense.im not playing games
you’re clearly talking about a “friend” and you clearly fucking hate their guts 🫤 so my suggestion is to just never be friends with anyone who has any body image issues because you clearly cannot handle yourself around them. if you cannot go around with the benefit of the doubt for all people, especially those opening up about their body image, then you are a pessimistic solipsistic sad little person…
