dude same. say what you want about christianity, but my mom is a methodist pastor and is probably one of the most understanding and tolerant people i know. she’s kind, gracious, and unbelievably smart. hell, she has 2 masters and a bachelor and got her first masters the year she had me. my favorite part about her though is probably the fact that she’s ALWAYS trying to learn about what she doesn’t understand. when my brother came out as trans she bought probably 5+ books about it

(the parenting of a trans individual and the psychology of it and whatnot) as well as attended a learning workshop for it w my dad. we may clash at times, but i genuinely don’t know what id do without her.
