does birth control pills give anyone else insane symptoms… no periods anymore, insane anxiety sometimes, headaches, depression, unmotivated, irritable? i’ve been on it for years but this is the most consistent i’ve been remembering to take them

It’s possible! Let your prescriber know what you’re experiencing and how it’s impacting your life. They should be able to switch you to a dosage or method that’s a better match. Which pill are you currently using?

yes!! i had no idea it was my pills though. so weird. i also feel like i can’t lose weight but never want to eat at all

it’s so odd i feel like i’ve never had these side effects THIS bad but i used to skip doses all of the time by accident but i’ve been so on top of it now so i’m not sure if it stems from that or what. i’ll totally let them know tho tysm

That gives a lot of info! Junel is the brand name, which tells me the specific synthetic hormones used, 24 refers to the number of active pills in a pack, and Fe says that the inactive pills are iron supplements. If you peep the article in the pic, most of your symptoms can be tied back to progestin. Now you’re already on a low androgenic progestin, but you can help balance it with more estrogen. HOWEVER, everyone’s body is different, so it may take some trial and error.
