I hate being the clean roommate bc my roommates will look at the kitchen/living room and be like “oh! Maybe we should wipe down the counters soon or something?” And I’m just like “hey so that’s really crazy bc I’ve BEEN doing that weekly since we moved”

same bc our little cheap handheld vacuum broke and they were like eh it’s ok it was cheap and didn’t work that well anyways and i was like WHAT! I USE JT EVERY DAY!! i vacuum up dust and i vacuum the counters before i clean them and i vacuum spilled dirt from our plants like PLEAAASSEEE this being broken is actually the biggest deal ever to me.

YOU GET IT. Idk how people stand living in dirty, messy places 😭 like it actually drives me crazy. And don’t get me wrong I don’t complain abt cleaning bc I actually enjoy doing it, but the fact that they think it’s just magically clean all the time is so funny

And then you try to protest by not cleaning so they can see how messy it gets, but you end up getting annoyed by the mess way before they even notice it or say anything or DO anything 😢 like guys come on, when I have to start brushing the crumbs off my feet from simply walking into this kitchen, this is too much

I mean for me personally, I always feel so much better mentally when my space is clean and tidy, so I just make it a priority. Sometimes I don’t have time or energy, but atp it’s just become a habit and I’m more uncomfortable when I DONT do it
