Am I the only one who doesn’t see why it’s such a big deal to mix metals??? Like it’s not that serious gold and silver don’t look bad together, is there an actual reason or is it just A Thing?

I wear whatever the hell I want! And I giggle all the time because people tell me they LOVE my silver ring, but it’s really white gold. So who cares! Most people can’t even tell the difference between some metals, and we’re only hot shit once in our lives 💕

I mix metals all the damn time! So stupid and has always bothered me when people say not to mix metals. They look good together. And why would I want all my jewelry to be the exact same color.

I’ve always heard no white before Easter or after Labor Day, but I think the thought process is that white clothes were often made of lighter, thinner material (think linen or cotton) and therefore not ideal for fall and winter. It’s not really true now since we have a lot more materials available, so it’s just kind of an arbitrary fashion “rule” nowadays
