I’m kind of the same way, in a way I’m lucky for it because I’m also infertile. I find a lot of what I imagine to be similar maternal fulfillment through my cats. Obviously I’ll never see them go to college or whatever, but it’s nice to have little creatures I care for who have their own unique personalities
