this dialogue sparked by the cornell rapists is both incredible and disturbing. one one hand, i love that victims are finally getting things off their chest and come together defending jane doe. on the other, seeing how many rape apologists exist in all kinds of spaces is terrifying. it’s part of what made me so scared to talk about my rapist. he was my boyfriend so i knew they would never believe me.

I’m sorry that you understand how that feels too. It’s a tragic thing to relate to someone over. Thank you for your kind words🩷 It helps heal something in me to see all of these women band together to stand up for a woman whose identity we don’t even know. Because even though we don’t know her, we know how she feels and we want justice for her.
