Also can’t stand the “you’re defending a man” response when homophobia is called out bc your homophobia towards men also affects queer WOMEN. Legitimately using the same talking points as red pill men and incels while thinking it’s somehow different. It’s not. That annoys me so much bc yes there’s a stupid amount of gay men that are incredibly misogynistic at the same time, there’s a bunch of straight men that simply hate women. He doesn’t like men he hates women and that’s a whole separate convo on how that starts but it’s also crazy bc I’ve noticed a weird amount of the ppl who say that are also the “I want a gay best friend” type of ppl, like what 🤨

That’s what’s strange to me bc yeah there’s a bunch of men in this chat but when I read girlfriend I just assume the person is queer. Straight people aren’t the only people to exist and there’s going to be queer women in girl talk bc news flash to them we’re still girls so the first thought being “this person is a man” instead of “this person is queer” is strange ngl

i think it’s just reading too much into it tbh. gay men show a lot of emotions too which a lot of straight men think shows weakness therefore explaining why they look at gay men as weaker.
