I’ve unfortunately been seeing this a lot lately.. but if a groom wears SNEAKERS to his wedding I think it should be an automatic divorce 😭 idc how white and expensive they are dawg those are gym shoes

if my soon to be husband wants to wear sneakers to our wedding not only will i wear a non white dress but it won’t even be a wedding dress, then at the moment we say i do i’ll say i don’t and then explain that he had to fight with me to wear SNEAKERS instead of just grabbing a diff pair of ahoes

I also just have to know if the brides in these weddings know their groom is doing that ahead of time, if it was a big fight, or if these men are just keeping it a secret until the big day because truly I cannot believe there’s any way this many women are fine with it

it might not be a big deal to some people but to me it’s abt respect, i’d tell him i don’t want him to wear sneakers and if he chooses to disregard my wishes on one of the biggest days of our lives then he really isn’t the kind of man i want to marry, he will probably js fight with me on everything when he doesn’t get his way and do it anyways, it’s not abt the sneakers, it’s abt respect

Like dude it’s one day, and probably the most photographed day of your life. Is that seriously want you want to see in every picture for the rest of your lives together? It just takes your entire attention away from all the other beautiful features like the venue, dress, nice suits, etc.

Right. I’m in the middle of wedding planning myself actually and although it is *our* wedding so we are both equally planning and making decisions, we’re still checking each other on things we absolutely will not be okay with. Every tiny detail brings it all together. And personally, if I wanted something informal that would work with sneakers, I wouldn’t be spending all the money on a big, nice wedding in the first place

No shade if that’s what everyone agreed on and wanted… I just can’t honestly see any bride who’s been planning this since childhood being okay with that
