Abortion is expensive and can have unwanted side effects. A lot of people also can’t deal with the thought of ending a potential life

You’re right that it’s not alive yet, but it could turn into a life

Correct I am not saying that it is not

I’m just saying that the clump of cells does turn into a baby if you let it go long enough

and not just expensive, abortion is such an intrusive procedure just like getting your tubes tied or getting an iud. Like yes, everyone SHOULD and is allowed to make their own choice in the moment, but me personally, i don't think i could go through an intrusive body changing procedure like that. Like piercings and tattoos might be where i draw my line at

They are starting to create procedures that aren’t as invasive but they come with a bunch of side effects sadly

that tracks tbh, women's health has never really been a priority in the past, like imagine how long it will probably take before non-invasive options are more readily available outside of like condoms and shit like that

But how do you not feel dread about all the invasive parts? The constant exams, rectal/vaginal swabs, blood draws, ultrasounds, cervical checks.. and then the full exposure and everything that happens during labor? It all feels so violating to me. Just thinking about it fills me with extreme dread and anxiety.

as someone who’s a few months postpartum it’s not that bad. I used to almost pass out during blood draws, but when you’re getting them for the health of you and your baby, it becomes easy. Like yes, please stick me as many times as possible and check me for my baby. That was probably the easiest part of pregnancy haha

This is gonna sound rude and bitchy of me but I don’t mean to be sorry in advance, not everyone is going to have the same medical anxiety, anxiety, or dread- it’s not a nightmare to some people & that’s their choice. idk if you meant it but you & 1 are almost coming across as making it seem disgusting for her to want kids with the “that’s so violating why would you do that” questions / statements.

like idk it’s weird, you can have medical anxiety because same here but i’m not gonna describe all my medical anxieties to someone who wants to have a baby because that’s weird ???

how was that comment weird? they barely even talked about medical anxiety like all the things they mentioned are real things you're going to go through during pregnancy no?

Genuinely asking, what is wrong with discussing the reality of pregnancy? Why do we have to sugarcoat it and romanticize it, when the entire process is anything but all sunshine and rainbows?

Also, why get offended when someone asks VERY realistic questions? What’s wrong with treating the topic of pregnancy and childbirth with all the seriousness that it requires?
