Is it weird that anytime I see that a girl from my high school is pregnant I feel sad? Even though they’re happy about it, I just can’t possibly comprehend how someone my age (20) could feel ready or happy to have a baby in this world

i only have one friend who i don’t feel this way about because i know she’s ready and her and her husband are going to be amazing parents. she’s the only exception 😭 everyone else getting pregnant scares me.

I think you can be educated, informed, anticipatory but never actually ready for a baby. people have sex, not everybody is into abortions, baby born. simple

And I’m in the south so typically pregnancy results in societally-forced-marriage which is absolutely the WORST option

I understand what you are saying but you can’t always look at the perspective of bad, it could be what they want. You might not agree but that’s what makes us all different

I always get conflicted because I’m 23 and getting married and still totally feel how OP feels sometimes, like how is lil baby me gonna be a wife and start having babies soon?? But my mom was 21 when she had me, so when I see/saw girls having babies at that age and younger, all I could think was that they would be okay. Their life may not be what they pictured it’d be, my mom’s wasn’t surely… but they’re going to be okay and so will the babies too
