I don’t think people in relationships realize how lonely it can be being single esp when they get lost in their relationships and don’t interact with anyone else but that person

i’ve had so many therapy sessions about this. it’s been helpful to remind myself that being Number One is not a constant. identify when you Need to be the Number One and when you don’t need to, bc even a partner is not always the Number One in someone’s life

i stopped feeling so lonely when i made an effort to think abt this + tell my friends that them showing up for our plans is important to me. idc if they never text me or check in on me, but i do care when they cancel plans. that’s when i need to be Number One!

Thanks for sharing your perspective! I really need to get into therapy because I would love to discuss my feeling about this with a therapist but I have a lot believe me

Although I’m not asexual (I’m on the spectrum, demisexual) I know it’s gonna be a long while before I get into a relationship or even get more friends bc I’m just burnout from people in general. I feel like I’ve put a lot into my connections and haven’t really gotten much out of it
