I hate being an adult and having to take care of myself and the worst part is I’m straight so if I got a partner they wouldn’t take care of me either 😭 I had to go to Walmart sick to get a covid and flu test an I gotta get my own meds

Because men don’t be taking care of women— I’m sure some do, but it’s not the majority or societal expectation

Yeesh, maybe it’s bc I’ve been out of the dating scene for forever now but I thought basic human compassion was at least the expectation 🫩

Look up the statistics for how often men leave their wives when they have cancer/are in hospice you’d be SHOOK

Oh no I do know that unfortunately :/ I just mean like basic running to the store for cold medicine or whatever. That’s a different level of it where the wife is fully or significantly dependent on her husband for round the clock, long term care, and he leaves because now he has to actually put work into the relationship

I love my fiancé and I know he loves me, but the notion of getting a debilitating illness scares the fuck out of me since you never really know until it happens :,)

Sameee I hate giving into paranoia but, I’ve heard so many horror stories from women u really have no idea when a man might completely change. The fear of that kind of betrayal makes me terrified of relationships
