It's almost like rape is a Bad Thing and shouldn't be glorified in any way bc the dehumanization of and theft of control over women's bodies is a serious and dangerous problem that is very much alive and well

Yes!! I feel like if it was something from true crime and an individual truly suffered as them, THEN it would be pretty fucked up to dress up as them.

Dressing up as Nikki in the beginning of the movie is totally fine IMO! It’s more of couple costumes where they dress as bear and Nikki which is literally dressing up as a rapist and their victim.

How do you not think Bear was a rapist???? That was the entire point behind the movie. Bear slept with Nikki after knowing that it wasn’t Nikki in control. I fear you might have missed the entire fucking point of the movie. Yikes

I don’t agree with the sentiment since such a large (living) population has been SA’d/SH’d and wouldn’t enjoy seeing a rapist costume, fictional or otherwise… many people have been in analogous situations to Nikki, and Bear is MADE to be like many existing men 💀

when did i say he wasn’t… I FEAR u misread what i said. my point is that he’s not REAL cutie okay. sooo many girls love art the clown and he’s killed children but again it’s not REAL. let’s focus on REAL rapists and REAL survivors and shed light on them instead of using all that energy on a fucking halloween costume…. get a grip 😊
