people also do it because girlfriend & boyfriend feels very adolescent, which i also get. i wish there were better options :/ like if i were married i would just say husband, fiance is fun… boyfriend? egh

i do it because we’re both bi so like idc if people think we’re gay, i’m pegging him. plus i dont believe in marriage but he’s my longterm life partner idk

I feel like a lot more people think the word partner means you’re gay than people who think boyfriend or girlfriend means you’re immature but maybe that’s just me
