So I need money for tuition, badly. Let’s say that my parents own properties and this summer I helped them clean after construction. Could I do it for others and get paid a lot of money. And hide it from my parents, or is it a bad idea?

working is a good way to earn money, but why would you have to hide it from your parents?

So it’s such a long story. To sum it up my dad assaulted me so i transferred to an out of state university. I regret it kinda. My parents co signed on some loans for me. I currently have 50k worth of loans cuz out of state tuition. This semester I need to take 4 credits, that’s it. But also housing and food. In total that’s abt 13k and I get no aid. I pay my own tuition and stuff.

My parents are very status type people. They won’t let me work at a restaurant or food place or a grocery store even if I wanted to. It’s because of how others would look at me.

so tell them you’ll either work or they can give you the money? why do they think having a job is bad?

It’s not that simple. I had a job once, I worked at a hospital cleaning up people like a cna. It was a very disgusting job, but I worked for like 15 months and got 30k. I started paying my own tuition atp but I was in state. That’s okay because it’s clinical and the field I want to go into. But if I work in a restaurant or grocery store it’s public and people see me and judge. It’s a cultural thing, we’re not from America originally

That hospital job also paid minimum wage and I worked like 40-60 hrs regularly. I used to do 16 hr shifts with people who had Covid

Well when I was moving my dad forbade me from going to my out of state university. So the day before move in day for that university my mom said yes and she took me the day of move in. The thing is I didn’t have time to put in my 2 weeks. I can no longer work there because of this reason.

I’ve applied to many jobs while my time at home, got none. Well I got one but they sold the company for parts so I’m jobless
