Is putting periods in between my first, middle, and last name bad for a professional email address ? I only plan to use it for jobs, rent, and grad school applications

That's honestly too long of an email address, keep it shorter. Such as jane.doe@gmail.com, jdoe@gmail.com, or if you use your middle name only use the first initial

Mine has always been first initial, last name, and the year I graduated high school (ex. jdoe2026@gmail.com) but I honestly need to make a new one bc it’s just overrun with spam and I can’t keep up

Like everything possible shorter for my name is unfortunately taken with Gmail. I would have to start adding numbers to Jane.doe@gmail.com or jdoe@gmail.com. But I don’t feel like numbers would look professional ?

I think numbers look fine, personally mine is set to the first name first inital, last name, then month and day of my birthday. it's very clean but also hard to mess up. I wouldn't put random numbers and keep it under 4. If you need a professional email for a specific company in the future it will likely be given to you through their domain.
