Adriana Smith is dead. Literally being used as a human incubator. A solid chance the baby is gonna have health issues as well. It was never about being prolife.

it’s an experiment. they’re experimenting on her to see if it’s possible.

I remember when I started seeing handmaids tale clips on tiktok and when women expressed fear of this becoming reality people were like “women are so dramatic this will never happen it’s purely fiction. Anyway, this happens in the handmaids tale

As someone that is prolife, that whole situation is wrong. While unfortunate, they should have let her pass and the baby along with her. Please set me on fire if i am ever in a situation like this.

not saying im for it. im saying that with the conversation of it: i’m morbidly interested in how affects the kid. like the consequences of it. there’s probably not any hormones going toward the kid that are needed for the child to be healthy, idk what the mental consequences are. also it’s kinda weird. like i understand the thought of wanting my child to be born even if im not alive. but in reality its really weird. did she have a convo with the baby’s dad? or her family?

wouldn’t be surprised if that’s true, especially considering Henrietta Lacks and the fact that Adriana Smith is a black woman too

She’s literally bed rotting. That’s so beyond insane to me. What’s even crazier is that her family is more than likely expected to raise that baby. And pay medical bills. Against their wishes.

And from my understanding- she died from medical negligence. They knew she was gonna die if she didn’t get the surgery she needed, but the surgery would have killed her baby so she was denied.

it’s also to see public reaction and to desensitize people to the idea of it. it’s ridiculously vile.

So sad to see us going backwards. Women fought sooo hard to have rights.

Not even just Henrietta Lacks. Many enslaved women were subject to gynecological experiments 😭

Preface: I’m not defending this act at all. I agree it is wrong. The legislation that is keeping her in this state is not one of anti-abortion. It’s a law about advance directives. It’s called “Georgia’s Advance Directive for Health Care Act.” Although it is believed that the “LIFE Act” is the ruling behind this, this is false information as that act doesn’t support keeping a woman on life support to incubate a child, like the horrendous act they are imposing upon her, the baby and the family.

I hope they correct this legislation soon so we don’t see another case like this and get her family and her some peace in their lives.

Currently on this season and it’s so terrifying to see the parallels between the two situations

right but i’m talking if the baby came to term. like if the child is lacking in the hormones, how could that affect them? you know what i mean? idk. i’m just interested in the psych part i guess?

They’re just pro birth and anti women. There no “pro life” about it because of there was, they’d care about the actually fully living and breathing people who can actually suffer and know and remember that pain.

VERY true. It’s just good to be accurate and educated as one can be about the subject 🤗

Agreed. I would love to see some adjustment to this act to make it more clear on situations like this. It’s devastating to see the public in outcry but also

lol sorry accidentally pressed send before finishing my sentence. It’s also healing to see everyone in outcry because so many don’t support this.

Exactly. 9 weeks is hardly a pregnancy to the point where doctors tell you not to announce one or even start preparing before 12-13 weeks because the miscarriage margin is so high. Pregnant women die and that’s a reality. They never should have kept her body. This is disgusting.
