It actually bothers me because i don’t necessarily have a problem with shipping characters, but some people just take it way too far and it gets weird. Like tell me why I saw a girl crying at the finale of stranger things because el died and mike and Will didn’t get together she said “she died, so why don’t they just fuck?” Children btw

I agree except with the "forcing" onto characters who "aren't" part, they aren't real people and they don't actually have sexualities. I don't think people shouldn't be allowed to ship just because the characters are the same sex.

I agree, im not talking about shipping so much as people who take ships too far, obsess over them and (most importantly) insist they’re actually canon and hate on canon straight relationships bc they can’t fathom close male friendships. I’ve seen bakugo/deku shippers from MHA do this as well as kiryu/majima shippers from the yakuza franchise. most people are completely normal about ships but I’ve seen a concerning about of people that can’t be

to clarify bc either people don’t get it or they feel called out, this is about people who refuse to acknowledge that straight men can be friends and obsessively fetishize any close male friendships to the point where they go out of their way to bully people who just support different (usually canon) ships bc. ship whoever you want, just don’t flip shit when people don’t all think your ship is perfect and what the writers actually intended (ESPECIALLY when it isn’t canon).
