I’m honestly shocked I’m the only one to vote don’t text don’t call. But after learning to deal with a dad who constantly violated my boundaries the best solution has been to not allow him to treat me that way. I’ve literally driven 3 hours home, had my dad act like an asshole, then turned around 20 minutes after I got home to drive back to my apartment. He’s much more pleasant and respectful now that he’s learned I don’t fuck around with that

Good choice! And good luck if you are trying to set boundaries long term, it’s fucking exhausting but it’s well worth it when it finally pays off. I had such a nice time with zero conflict when I went home to my parents a couple weekends ago. I think it was the first time I ever genuinely enjoyed a visit from start to finish with him!
