Almost every man I’ve talked to, when they’ve told me something bad/sad/annoying that happened to them and I say I’m sorry, they always go ‘don’t be, it’s not your fault’ Like duh it’s not my fault, I’m expressing empathy

I think a lot of times they read this type of sorry as pity and they don’t want that
