Oh absolutely. There is actually a psychological reason for this. Women who want power over people tend to go to places where they can neglect people and have emotional power over them, where as men who want power over other people go into law enforcement to physically abuse them, both of them claim they are doing it to help people and that they should be treated as heroes

definitely not! there are plenty of nurses who are genuinely good people. i just mean that out of the mean girl population, a large percentage of them seem to become nurses unfortunately

I think there has been an actual study on it showing that people do actually condense into those two careers when they are abusive people. Obviously there are other people who join and actually want to help and do good, nurses more so since they aren’t as protected and if they are bad they get fired more easily, but cops have a HUGE issue with abuse that is systematically letting those abusive men join

I think some are. They are rare finds but cops that go against protocols and actually help people and do their best to fix what they can, fighting against officers (within their department or otherwise) breaking the law or hurting people.

It’s saying if you work with the system you are bad even if you yourself don’t have the intentions to be evil and target minorities because the system you work in is built to do that anyway, so replying acab when I’m talking about the few cops that actually fight against that oppressive system seems like you’re missing the point of that term

I’ve been seeing things about that and I’m so glad that they haven’t be working with ICE like the police in NYC have been and that they are actually working against them 👏👏 at least they are doing one part of their duty correctly

I do. This happened in 2018. I’m thriving now. It took me a while to heal from what he did to me. Physically and mentally, but I’m more successful in every aspect of my life than he will ever be and that brings me such joy!
