Last year, my bf had to take my friend to the police station after she was SAed. She was way too afraid to talk to the police. And nothing has happened to the perpetrator!

Cops don’t always have victims’ best interests in mind, and with how many are now being charged for using flock cams to stalk people I can’t blame her

What did she think they were gonna do?

If that’s what she thought then why would she be afraid?

I’m sorry do you not know how our country works?! As someone who’s also been SA’d I 100% understand being scared to go to the police. In fact I didn’t with the second one bc of how the police act

Yes… because that’s their job and they should be helpful…. Doesn’t mean they will be and most of the time they’re not which is why she’s scared

So did she think they would be helpful or not? Why would she be scared if she expected a good result?

i’m gonna be so real, nothing about any of the sentences above is jumping out as one particular race. i’m not saying you don’t speak one way or another, but you just haven’t said enough for us to have seen that

I can tell reading the sentences that you are black cuz I went up and read them in a black girls voice. But guess what? If you said you were white I would’ve read it in a white girls voice, and it would’ve sounded completely normal. Only way I can tell that you are black is cuz you got so defensive so quickly and tried to bring race into the conversation that had nothing to do with race.
