You can be gay AND misogynistic But being gay BECAUSE OF misogyny? Since misogyny is a CHOICE and not genetic, you would have to believe that you can CHOOSE to be gay. That’s what you would need to believe if you think someone can be gay BECAUSE of misogyny rather than simply gay AND misogynistic

i mean tbh im starting to think misogyny isnt really a choice at all and its more of a genetical predisposition thing in the same way of how slavery affected black ppl so much it affects us genetically and how white ppl have historically been so racist they're geneticslly predisposed to racist ideals 🤔 i really wanna find a study on if we're all affected in the same way abiut misogyny or atleast in specific cultures where misogyny has been so prevelant historically

No, I’m sorry, but that is bioessentialist thinking. Bioessentialism, or a more specific form like gender essentialism, has been used to JUSTIFY racism/sexism etc. No, to say that misogyny is “genetic” would open to door to doing eugenic-like research on “genetic predispositions to be misogynistic.” Any form of discrimination IS A CHOICE, not biology.
