Its comes from inexperience. So then the default strategy becomes: playing it safe. The problem with that is you won’t feel anything great or anything bad about him, which is boring. Nonchalant somehow became a negative term in the last few years so I dont have an answer for that yet

sometimes it's how they are, but usually lack of interest. honestly a lot of people are terrible conversationalists, i don't know of it's covid or just growing up more isolated or something but i keep checking out of the dating scene because people can't keep a convo going or will call anything that ISN'T dry to be crazy/weird
