every single person that I’ve met that says that they don’t like cats because they scratch them/don’t let them pet them is because they do not respect the cat’s boundaries.

when people have a strong opinion or firm belief, they tend to not like experiences that challenge their notions. I’m used to it happening for more important parts of me than just disliking popular pet animals, so it doesn’t really bother me. also, rats are just cooler. I don’t make the rules.
