Yes! The term incel stands for involuntary celibate. It was originally made by a woman in hopes to help these guys, but incels turned it into what it is today. Since the only requirements are celibacy, gay guys can be incels too!

It sounds like this man fits the term really well, as a hidden requirement is to hate women. A surprising amount of gay men hate women just as much or are more misogynistic than straight men. That’s where a lot of demeaning gay language comes from. Usually they don’t realize when or how they’re being misogynistic because it’s considered a cultural norm. I’ve met a couple of gay men who have tried to touch me inappropriately because they think it’s fine since they’re one of the “girls”.

This isn’t to say that all gay men act this way, or that gay men are bad people. Just like in any group, there will always be a few bad eggs. All of the gay men I’ve surrounded myself with in the past few years have been the best people I’ve ever met, this guy is just a weirdo

yes, but incel is more of a vibe than a technical term. the term means "involuntary celibate", however somebody might struggle to get laid but not be an "incel" in any meaningful sense because they're not a bitter, resentful loser who blames the world for their maidenless status
