would it be silly for me to lose weight so people will find me attractive? like i know the health benefits are amazing, but the fact that someone might actually see me just feels more motivating for some odd reason

I’m so conflicted because I want to lose weight so I’ll finally be accepted But I also am hesitant to even try to lose weight because it frustrates me that that’s what it takes to be accepted

I promise you’ll feel like shit once you get the attention. I just stopped eating cause I was depressed over a guy and then I was just angry at men as an entire species (that anger never went away). Men are pigs.

I get the same amount of attention when I was over weight as I did when skinny

the only valid reason is health benefits, like if your doctor advises you to. losing weight won’t make you happy with yourself, self acceptance will make you happy with yourself

i’m not skinny and i’m content with who i am in other aspects of my life, but i know this will boost my confidence. i’m honestly tired of being the friend that gets ignored and all this other stuff, so maybe this can help me. im genuinely fine with who i am when it comes to milestones in life so it just feels like my strongest motivator at this point

same here! it’s kinda sad bc others tell me that i have such a radiant personality and all these other great things but what’s holding me back is the number on the scale
