Fuel was such a badass game. To this day one of the biggest open worlds in gaming. I remember Achievement Hunter doing their races across the map back in the day, absolutely classic. I would say I’m surprised it never got a sequel but if I remember correctly it’s an EA published title so I’m sadly not surprised. How much did you pay for it since it’s annoyingly expensive a lot of the time. My bf got us two copies for £3 over in the UK but in the US it’s normally $30ish.
It’s not bad at all and is probably the best the Xbox 360 ever looked. It’s still really fun, but it is admittedly night and day compared tot hr Xbox One version. Not only is it missing DLC, but even some normal events got cut, like the showcase that gives you a free Ferrari early on. Also more of the map being blocked off. Also the gorgeous lighting and dynamic weather, a huge selling point of the main version and why it still looks 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 10+ years later, obviously had to be cut.
It very much is. Mind you, this was a rough list to rank as I love all of them. I also admittedly seriously messed up as I totally forgot I bought my copies of Forza Horizon and Motorsport 4 and wasn’t given them as a gift. Even though Dirt 2 is farther down on this list, I still absolutely love the game. I have more used racing games from over the years that didn’t make the cut. Even though I like NFS Shift/The Run, they probably aren’t top 9 for me.
I also got my copy for £3 when I was in the UK at CEX last year! They’ve got some absolutely ridiculous deals on 360 stuff. It’s such an annoyance that the 7th console gen was still in the age of region-locking because I would’ve loved to snag GRID 2 for £4 or PGR 3 for £3. Might look into if there’s a way to mod a 360 to bypass that before I go back next year. Or maybe even just buy a cheap UK 360 if I can find one for £30 on Marketplace while I’m there or something.
