I wonder how the success of the Zelda franchise would've been changed if they decided to make it a T rated franchise instead of E10+. I liked how dark the atmosphere of Twilight princess was, and I would've liked if they revisited that for the Wild games

some of the earlier games in the series had really dark elements that greatly added to the story and overall atmosphere of the game, such as the bottom of the well in Ocarina of Time

Yeah majora's mask is a huge favorite of mine for how harrowing its atmosphere is. It's unfortunate that breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom didn't lean more heavily into the darker implications they could've had
