Personally I'm not a fan of male fan service games if there is an end. I like open/live service otome game because I know I can expect more content of the guy I like!! Also switch otome games are like 60-70 dollars and I'm not paying that for like 3 endings with 3 guys 😭

like sure I like romance as an aspect of some games, but whay stands out to me as catering to a female audience is telling stories that are unique or relevant for women

for example I really love Astarion from BG3 not really because he’s hot and dateable but because his story is such a hard hitting look at sexual exploitation and familial abuse that resonates with women a great deal
