If the devs let this go on for too long it's gonna turn into tarkov (which lost so many players they had to add a dedicated pve mode and their numbers never recovered) They NEED to do something to discourage griefing ASAP

Only because they don't have guardrails against griefing. I don't mind actual PvP, what I mind is deception and and player-killing to the detriment of the killer themselves, i.e. killing someone even when you don't have time to loot them

Because honestly if you're killing for fun, you're playing the game wrong. It is an extraction shooter, not a battle royale. You CAN kill people, but if you're only playing for that purpose, wtf are you doing?

They just need to add a reputation system. If you are getting multiple PvP kills where you fire the first shot, you get low rep and placed in lobbies with other low rep players. If you have low PvP kills and never fire the first shot, you get a high rep and placed in lobbies with higher rep.
