Look, I miss a lot about the mid-to-late 2000s and early 2010s era of gaming, but I’m glad we’ve largely moved on from no autosave games. Especially as someone who’s always lived in the countryside, where power outages in winter are pretty common.

The humble Kingdom Come Deliverance having very possibly the single worst save system in any game I have ever seen:

So basically there’s no autosaves and there are only two ways to save the game. First is by sleeping in a bed, the second is by using an item called Savior Schnapps. You have a limited number of them and to make more you have to either collect ingredients and then craft them or purchase new ones from specific vendors. Mind you, this game has random events where you can get ambushed and easily beaten to death without being able to do anything (stunlocks are a fun mechanic) while fast travelling.
