by those people's standards, it will be woke unless there's a mission where you commit hate crimes and the game tells you "wow good job. donald trump is a great president btw"

They’ve already stated they’ll be pulling punches when jt comes to certain groups. That removes its ability to be a proper satire.

i’ve heard a frightening amount of men get giddy and excited at the idea of running down the supposed “pride parades.” like genuinely i think they’d only be ok with trans people in the game if you can kill them. it’s horrific. i almost expect Rockstar to satirize it by adding unkillable lgtbq+ characters. that would be awesome.

This was in an article from 2024. Also, similar to South Park, I don’t think anyone takes those kinds of jokes as serious hate. And I say that as part of the LGBTQ+ community

And no, before someone asks, I’m not someone who thinks it’d be fun to run a car through pride parades. I just believe that in order to be an effective satire in the way that series like GTA and South Park have been, specifically satirizing American culture, nothing should really be off limits.
