Pretty sure most ppl have seen the video of the guy that turned old hard drives into sudo game carts. It’s definitely a concept that would insure you’d “own” both your games and saves in a local state. As for saving your drives on a sd card or flash drive, ik that the ps3/4 allow this with local saves but I’ve never done too much extensively with it. I do know that the save write to an acount since that’s how I get my HexIDs for console mods without using online converts or Sony databases.
