Nothing could’ve prepared me for the realization that you had to pay to play online with a ps4… that alone is why I never let go of my ps3 and only bought new games on Steam.

i grew up exclusively playing PC (my only “consoles” were my DS/DSI/3DS and wii) and when i got my first nintendo switch during the pandemic i was genuinely gobsmacked that i had to pay more for online connectivity. like it baffles me… i bought the game, i bought the device, now i gotta pay to PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS??

Right? My brother had a switch (but never used it) so when he got Pokemon for Christmas I was the one that actually played it. Learned the hard way when I tried battling my friend over the break… def a shock since my sister’s 3DS that didn’t need a sub. Embarrassing way to find out 😪
